Erika A. O’Donnell

Ms. O’Donnell (formerly Wahl) joined Gentile, Horoho, & Avalli, P.C. as an Associate Attorney in 2016.  She began working with the firm as a law clerk in April 2013 where she gained extensive experience working at all stages of family law cases.

Attorney O’Donnell received her Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law in 2016 and was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in October 2016. Prior to law school, Ms. O’Donnell interned at Court Appointed Special Advocate of Westmoreland, Inc. (CASA), a program that promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children.

During law school, Ms. O’Donnell served as Justice of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and as the Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce.  Ms. O’Donnell had the opportunity to intern for the Honorable Kathleen Mulligan where she assisted in writing judicial opinions.  Ms. O’Donnell also interned with Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Services, Inc., where she helped low income clients in obtaining divorces and Protection from Abuse Orders.

She served as a Certified Legal Intern for the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law Family Law Clinic where she aided pro se litigants with family law issues such as the drafting of custody complaints and modifications, proposed notices of custody relocations, petitions for special relief, and support modifications. During this experience, Ms. O’Donnell had the opportunity to represent pro se clients in court and present motions to family court judges.

Attorney O’Donnell also volunteers at Christian Legal Aid of Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization that offers advice and guidance regarding civil and family matters to those whose incomes are at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines. She has volunteered with the organization since 2013.
